Thank you for your interest in supporting the inaugural FROM GRIEF TO GRACE LAVARDO “ELJAY” FISHER MEMORIAL 5K, taking place Saturday, October 24, 2026, at West Orange Trail Chapin Station in Winter Garden, Florida.
This memorial 5K marks 10 years since the passing of Lavardo Denashe Fisher II, affectionately known as “Eljay,” who lost his life at age 13 following an accidental firearm incident. Through the gift of organ and tissue donation, Eljay’s legacy continued beyond his lifetime.
More than a race, this event was created to transform personal loss into purposeful community education and awareness. It will bring families, organizations, and community partners together to share information and resources in three important areas:
- Firearm safety education and awareness
- Organ and tissue donation education and awareness
- Grief-process information and community resources
Sponsorships will help support event operations and safety, educational and outreach materials, participant race materials, signage, family activities, and other event-day expenses. A portion of the net proceeds will also support a memorial recognition initiative honoring Lavardo at Ocoee Middle School and other mission-aligned youth and community efforts.

To receive full promotional benefits, sponsorship commitments and logos must be received by October 2,2026. Sponsorships received afterward may still be accepted based on the promotional opportunities remaining. Vendor space is subject to park approval, availability, and applicable insurance requirements.
